MINDFUL
CONNECTIONS

Build a life that feels connected and alive.

Love isn’t luck.

It's the result of showing up consistently. Staying open. Trying a new way. Creating opportunities for connection.

Rachel helps people build lives that feel connected and alive. Adam helps people get present and back into their bodies.

Hi, we're Rachel & Adam Barehl.

Laughing in the rain at our wedding rehearsal. Reading on a blanket in the backyard. Throwing birthday parties for our chickens. Backpacking through Thailand. Arms full of babies during the pandemic. Making up songs while cleaning up after dinner.

These are some of the ways our life has unfolded together.

We met at a game night in Tilly's living room on Valentine's Day in 2013, and have spent the years since learning how to love well and creating spaces where people feel welcome, seen, and deeply connected.

Friends.
Family.
Neighbors.
Strangers.

Over the years, we've welcomed thirteen children into our home through foster care and foreign exchange programs. We've hosted dinners, sleepovers, morning parties, porch conversations, and celebrations for reasons both big and small.

We've learned that love isn't found only in the milestone moments.

It's in the dishes after everyone goes home.

The grocery lists.

The plumbing disasters.

The hard conversations.

The choosing each other again and again.

We've come to believe that paying attention is one of the deepest forms of love. That ordinary life is far more miraculous than we give it credit for. That belonging is something we can build together.

Because connection isn't just about finding a partner.

It's about creating a life where friendship, community, curiosity, generosity, and love have room to grow.

We believe in dinner parties.
Second chances.
Clunky beginnings.
Chosen family.
Experiments.
Small acts of courage.
The possibility that a single conversation can change a life.

And we believe the best relationships, like the best works of art, are made one ordinary day at a time.

Adam is a massage therapist with a remarkable gift for presence, safety, and deep listening. He has a way of helping people exhale, feel at ease, and remember they don't have to carry everything alone.

Rachel is a photographer, relationship architect, and community builder. She is fueled by curiosity, possibility, and the belief that life is better when people bring playfulness and mindfulness to their lives, and gather around dinner tables.

Together, we create spaces that say, "come on in."
